Ruth Mansfield

Ruth is a retired accountant originally from New Zealand. In 1976, she set off on what was meant to be a six-month trip to London – an adventure that turned into five years of travel and work. During that time, she spent three winters working in a fish factory in the remote Western Fjords of Iceland. Ruth moved to Australia in 1981 and later worked with the Brisbane Lions for 13 years before retiring to Elliott Heads. In August 2023, she and her partner made a tree change to Wondai. Ruth has been volunteering at Crow FM since January 2025, helping out with the accounts. In her spare time, she loves tending her vegetable garden and walking her two dogs.
